The Be Amazing Detox & Weight Loss Challenge: Review and Final Remarks

On January 1 I launched my first free challenge called The Be Amazing Detox & Weight Loss Challenge. The focus and goal of this challenge was to approach losing weight and getting healthy in a new way this year by making small gradual changes over time to achieve big and lasting results.

Over the course of 25 days I posted a new challenge post each day that either gave an assignment or reflection of my experience during the challenge. And although we focused on some of the basics that come along with beginning a healthier routine we went a little deeper and dealt with some of the internal issues that surround weight loss.

I also sprinkled a couple of recipes like a detox soup that I tried that was pretty good and even a cookie recipe. I also offered some ideas on detox drinks on day 21 to try.

Some of the information for this challenge was also located on my Facebook Page where I posted a few live stream tutorials.

The results of this challenge have been amazing to me. I feel better mentally, physically and even spiritually. And I feel more confident and focused on achieving my long term weight loss goals. I have a better understanding on what it is going to take and realize that there is no quick fix. To achieve my goals I have to be in it for the long haul.

As far as weight loss during this month, I did not lose an extreme amount of weight. In fact, I really only lost about 1 pound. Yes, I know that stinks but I did lose 1 inch off of my stomach and butt and a 1/2 inch off of my thighs! And I will take that. This taught me how important it is to do the measurements because sometimes its not in the number on the scale. Its about how you feel and the shaping and toning you are working on.

So all in all I am happy with the results of this challenge. It was a great start to the New Year. But if you are just now stumbling upon this post and would like to do this challenge its not too late. All of the posts are below:
